Accessibility Statement
The Technology Development Fund (TDF), DRDO is committed to making this website accessible to all users, irrespective of the device in use, technology or ability. It has been built with the aim of providing maximum accessibility and usability to its visitors.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and to the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites and Apps (GIGW 3.0). This helps people with visual impairments access the website using assistive technologies such as screen readers.
Accessibility features
- Skip to main content – a link at the top of every page lets keyboard and screen reader users go straight to the main content.
- Text size – the buttons in the top bar decrease, reset or increase the text size.
- Contrast – the high-contrast button in the top bar switches to a black-and-yellow colour scheme; the normal-contrast button switches back.
- Screen reader support – see Screen Reader Access for free and commercial screen readers.
- Keyboard navigation – all links, buttons and form fields can be reached with the keyboard, and the focused item is clearly highlighted.
- Text alternatives – images carry alternative text; links that open in a new window or lead to an external website are announced.
- Consistent navigation – menus, headings and the footer are consistent across pages, and a Sitemap lists all main pages.
- Bilingual content – key pages are available in Hindi using the हिन्दी link in the top bar.
